Hi to you all. I am new to your wonderful tribe! I am heading out to Mexico at the end of the year, on an adventure! I so far plan to see Mexico City, Oaxaca and possibly Cancun. In Oaxaca I am making my way to a little place I have been told about called Café Los Cuiles.. I just wondered if any of you know it / have been there? I`ve heard so much about it, and would like to hear more? Thanks.

They also have free wireless Internet, which is why I've spent many hours there. (Like me, most of the foreigners Mark mentioned are there with laptops.) The food and smoothies are also good, and they always play great music.

Well, my buddy Bernardo goes there just about every day and he gives it two thumbs up. He also says what you hear about Oaxaca isn't the truth. Shall I tell him to expect you? I'm sure he'll be pleased to find you intend to visit him, especially since he invited me and I turned him down.

Donna do you travel with a lap top? how does that go?
Do you lug it around in your back pack?
Lock it in your room when you are out?
I am thinking of taking mine this time south.

I do - but that's because my trips to Oaxaca have been for doing linguistic fieldwork (working on a Zapotec language), so I have to have it. I mainly stay in Teotitlan del Valle with a family, and can leave my laptop in their house, but I also bring it with me to Oaxaca on weekends and leave it locked in my room when I'm not going to the cafe. My friend also brought hers when she came to visit and we both lugged them around Oaxaca and Chiapas.
