I wasn't exactly sure what to title this topic but here's what I need; I'm looking for a song that my dad had on a reel to reel tape that is called "Malaguena Salerosa". The version he had was old but I'm not sure how old but I was listening to this song when I was a child in the late 60s-early 70s. It was heavily orchestrated and very slow moving and so beautiful. I wasn't really sure where to ask my question but if any of you might be familiar with this song or anyone who might have sang it 40 or maybe 50 years ago or so, please pass some information on to me.
I've been on wikipedia and you tube, and googled the song to death. So if anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Tracking down a song from Mexico
Fri, April 11, 2008 - 2:27 PMMalagueña is an old romantic classic. An andalusian classic made very popular in Mexico's golden era. And one of my faves when I was growing up. ~;o)
The Wikipedia entry: ------> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malagueña_(song)
And many CDs of spanish-language romantic classics will probably have it in the songlist... -

Re: Tracking down a song from Mexico
Fri, April 25, 2008 - 8:33 PMThere is a version of this song on the Kill Bill, Vol. 2 Soundtrack, by Chingon. It is not slow really though so I don't know if it's what you're looking for.
